The presentation of the Erzyan poem <\/span>\u201cErmez\u201d<\/span>, planned for the coming days in Saransk,<\/span> was disrupted due to the intervention of the Ministry of Culture,<\/span> National Policy and Archival Affairs of the Republic of Mordovia.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

<\/span>\u201cErmez\u201d<\/span> is a poem of the Erzyan poet and writer Yakov Kuldurkaev repressed by the Soviet regime.<\/span> Erzyan intellectuals consider the poem as one of the most striking phenomena in the literature of its people.<\/span> The poet Arthur Moro praised this work:<\/span> \u201cIn the thirties,<\/span> the brilliant poem by Ya.<\/span> Ya.<\/span> Kuldurkaev <\/span>\u201cErmez\u201d<\/span> was created,<\/span> which significance for the Erzya people can only be compared with the <\/span>\u201cThe Tale of Igor\u2019s Campaign\u201d<\/span> for the Russian people.<\/span> This poem has become the shining peak of Erzyan poetry and all literature and serves as a great contribution to the treasury of world poetry\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

The poem was never published during the life of the poet.<\/span> In 1988 it was published in frequent parts in the magazine <\/span>\u201cSyatko\u201d<\/span>. Just in 2019,<\/span> as part of the celebration of the author\u2019s 125th anniversary,<\/span> the Erzya fund <\/span>\u201cRutsya\u201d<\/span> initiated publication of <\/span>\u201cErmez\u201d<\/span>. The writing was published in two languages <\/span>\u2014 Erzyan and Russian with help of donations from Erzya and friends of Erzya people.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

The head of the <\/span>\u201cRutsya\u201d<\/span> fund Eryush Vezhay said that the planned presentation,<\/span> which should be held at the Pushkin National Library of the Republic of Mordovia with participation of the Erzyan poetess Mariz Kemal,<\/span> was disrupted due to the intervention of the Ministry of Culture,<\/span> National Policy and Archival Affairs of the Republic of Mordovia.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

<\/span>\u201cThose who took part in the publication of the book do not understand the actions of the Republic\u2019s Ministry about the need for a <\/span>\u201cdeep study\u201d<\/span> of the text of the publication to permit the presentation.<\/span> The author of the text <\/span>\u2013 Ya.<\/span> Kuldurkaev was rehabilitated during the Soviet period,<\/span> and the poem was published in the past.<\/span> Moreover,<\/span> now there is no censorship in the Russian Federation.<\/span> For now.<\/span> And the Ministry of National Policy of the Republic of Moldova is not empowered by the legislation of the Russian Federation in right of censorship.<\/span> For now\u201d<\/span> \u2014 the head of the <\/span>\u201cRutsya\u201d<\/span> fund Eryush Vezhay commented on the situation.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

Since 2002 using Latin alphabet for the state languages of the republics has been prohibited at the legislative level in the Russian Federation,<\/span> that\u2019s why the poem <\/span>\u201cErmez\u201d<\/span> was printed in Cyrillic.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

<\/span><\/span>Yakov Kuldurkaev<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span> <\/span>(1894 <\/span>\u2014 1966)<\/span> \u2014 Erzyan poet and writer.<\/span> The author of the poem <\/span>\u201cErmez\u201d<\/span> and a number of works for children.<\/span> He was born in the village of Lobaski <\/span>(now Atyashevsky district of the Republic of Mordovia)<\/span>. Participant of the First World War and Civil War.<\/span> In 1923 he entered the accounting courses in Moscow,<\/span> which he soon graduated from.<\/span> He worked as an accountant,<\/span> bookkeeper,<\/span> auditor.<\/span> In 1938 he was repressed by the Soviet regime as an <\/span>\u201cenemy of the people.<\/span>\u201d<\/span> He was serving a sentence in the camps of the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic,<\/span> Novgorod and Dzhambul regions.<\/span> Rehabilitated in 1958.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

After being released from the concentration camp,<\/span> he was not able to restore health.<\/span> He died in 1966.<\/span> He was buried in his native village.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n
