On July 13,<\/span> 2019 Rasken\u2019 Ozks,<\/span> the ancestral prayer of Erzyan people\u00a0took place<\/a><\/span>\u00a0in Erzyano-Mokshania <\/span>(Republic of Mordovia)<\/span>. On the eve of this event Council of Elders <\/span>(erz.<\/span> Atyan\u2019 Ezem)<\/span> chosen chief elder of Erzyan people,<\/span> Inyazor,<\/span> by secret ballot.<\/span> Syres\u2019 Boliayen\u2019,<\/span> chairman of Erzyan Val society and co-founder of Free Idel-Ural movement,<\/span> was chosen as new Inyazor;<\/span> he permanently lives in Ukraine and his candidacy was supported by 12 from 18 elders of the Council.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

Free Idel-Ural learned that on July 16 Anatoliy Chushkin,<\/span> minister of culture,<\/span> national politics,<\/span> tourism and archives of Republic of Mordovia,<\/span> contacted Kshumantsian\u2019 Pyrguzh,<\/span> continuing to carry out duties of Inyazor,<\/span> while newly elected Syres\u2019 Boliayen\u2019 will not take his oath of office,<\/span> and summoned him to the ministry.<\/span> As Pyrguzh reports,<\/span> minister Chushkin was extremly displeased by Atyan\u2019 Ezem\u2019s decision to choose Syres\u2019 Boliayen\u2019,<\/span> who is beyond Kremlin\u2019s control,<\/span> as new Inyazor.<\/span> During this conversation Pyrguzh adequate opponed to Chushkin,<\/span> reminding that republican power does not hear Erzyans and ignores their requests,<\/span> and also intervenes into internal matters of Erzyan national movement.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

<\/span>\u201cAtyan\u2019 Ezem is council of elders of Erzyan people,<\/span> not a structural department of Ministry of culture.<\/span> So it was,<\/span> so it will be.<\/span> Officials constantly repeat,<\/span> that in Republic of Mordivia all conditions are provided for development of Erzyan people and satisfaction of all their cultural necessities.<\/span> In fact our people are being under powerful assimilatory pressure:<\/span> Erzyan language is forbidden to teach in schools as obligatory,<\/span> this privilege was left only for Russian.<\/span> Erzyans are refused for years into obtaining a land in Saransk to install monument of Inyazor Purgaz.<\/span> At the same time,<\/span> we can see that official authorities allocates apartments and land lots all over the republic for Russian orthodox church,<\/span> and there is no problem with that,<\/span> no bureaucratic procrastination.<\/span> If for all these years even one Erzyan gymnasium wasn\u2019t built,<\/span> even one in all Mordovia,<\/span> if republican ministers don\u2019t care about Purgaz\u2019s monument,<\/span> \u2013 so where they get time and inspiration to interfere in Erzyan internal business,<\/span> finding out who voted and for whom\u201d<\/span>?,<\/span> \u2013 Syres\u2019 Boliayen\u2019,<\/span> newly elected Inyazor,<\/span> explained his position.<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n\n<\/span>\n\n<\/span>

Free Idel-Ural will carefully monitor course of events surrounding elections of new Inyazor.<\/span> We hope that officials of Republic of Mordovia will demonstrate the same ardour demanding reports from their ministers,<\/span> as they want reports from Atyan\u2019 Ezem.<\/span> For example,<\/span> how can republican Minister of informatization and communications purchase 4 apartments,<\/span> 1 house,<\/span> 1 lot land,<\/span> 2 cars,<\/span> 1 snowmobile and plus few million roubles on his modest official salary?<\/span> Maybe if government of Mordovia will take more active interest into these questions,<\/span> then there will be money to built Erzyan gymnasium and many other things,<\/span> useful to our people?<\/span><\/p><\/span>\n
