The chief elder of Erzya people

Representatives of Bashkir, Buryat, Erzya, Kalmyk and Tatar national movements appealed to parliament of Estonia. Activists claim about further strengthening of assimilation and russification policy and expanding of new wave of political repressions against activists and national organizations of indigenous peoples in Russia.

In April 2020 Inyazor’s Secretariate launched renewed version of www.inyazoro.info to highlight activity of Erzya national movement in two languages, Erzya and English. Since first 2 weeks of online we got many warm greeting letters from Erzya. Their authors not just expressed support of Inyazor, but also complained about absence of good web-resources to help with study of Erzya language and vocabulary improvement.

One of the biggest Finno-Ugric ethnic groups in Russian Federation – Erzya – approved new system of national representative bodies. The corresponding decision was accepted by Atyan’ Ezem (erz. Elders’ Council) on May 1, 2020.

Ministry of education of Republic of Mordovia reacted to a public campaign by Erzyan activists who send their claims to the head of the republic demanding to open Erzyan gymnasium in Saransk.

Erzya launched a public campaign to achieve the opening of a modern gymnasium in Saransk with the Erzya language of the educational process.
